19 days ago, on the first of this month, a shocking announcement was made by the government. Central Mercia's prominent ally and former enemy, Emesarem was revealed to have been a puppet state all along since its reformation in August. Many had previously assumed this, due to the fact a high ranking Central Mercian official ran the state as absolute Monarch, but for the government to have admitted this it is a shock.
after the end of the long and hard March War that was fought between Central Mercia and a joint coalition of Emesarem and the breakaway state of Canon Park. After months of fighting Central Mercia would eventually claim victory over the two, with Emesarem becoming breifly in personal union with Central Mercia before being fully annexed. Emesarem would last a region of Central mercia proper until August of this year, in which Emesarem was reformed which was said to be, according to the Central mercian government, so that 'The people of Balsall Common could have their own state again'. However, a Central Mercian official (specifically Earldomen Pybba) was made King (and later Emperor.) Many would already identify Emesarem as a puppet state, however officially it was fully independent of Central Mercia. This would last until September, in which plans would be announced by the Emperor for Emeesarem to partition into smaller states, however this motion was eventually discarded and never put forth. During the same time when Emesarem was refounded, an organisation called the Warwickshire Greater Protection and Unity Sphere (WGPUS) was also created by central Mercia, in which Emesarem would also rejoin.
As of the 1 of October 2026 it was then that the Central Mercian government would officially state that Emesarem was a puppet state all along since its refounding (although obvious to many,) also stating emesarem would be disestablished and that all Central Mercian presence would be removed. Although this was announced the government would also state that Berkswell and Four Oaks would remain part of Central Mercia, saying that they were integral parts of Central Mercia established during the First Central Mercian - Emesaremian War.
