History

A brief timeline of the development of Central Mercia.

Early history

History of the Region

The local region begins to arise as villages such as Finham, Bubbenhall, Stoneleigh, Baginton and Stareton spring up.

c. 2020

Foundation

Central Mercia was founded as a gang, beginning the development of the modern micronational entity.

2025

Sprachenland

Central Mercia united with the Mag-v Empire and Alagevo to form the Republic of Sprachenland as a constituent state.

June 2026

Reorganisation

Central Mercia declared itself an independent Earldom, establishing its present governmental framework.

July 2026

Rejoining Sprachenland

Following the dissolution of the Sprakish Empire, Central Mercia rejoined the Republic of Sprachenland.

August 2026

Joining Austenasia

Due to the perceived inactivity of Sprachenland Central Mercia leaves, eventually finding solace as a Crown Dependency of Austenasia

The State

Government

We are led by an Earl, who has to consult the Earldomen Council in order to pass laws. Each Earldomen represents a region of Central Mercia, known as Jarldoms (to diffuse confusion with the state itself)

Culture

We are an English nation, however many other prominent ethnicities reside in our borders, such as Han Chinese and Punjabi.

Mercian Heritage

Our heritage is rooted in the historical regions of Hwicce and South Mercia.

Landscape

We are characterised by our rolling fields, rivers and larges swathes of Woodland.

Religion

Anglican Christianity is our dominant faith, however followers of many other religions such as Sikhism and Islam are present, alomgside minorities such as Asatru and Zoroastrianism.

Language

English is our official language.
